What is Personal Training?

Some people when they hear the words or see the words “Personal Training” will immediately think of some sort of hard, gruelling, mud – ridden, sweaty, demanding military style work out. This of course can be true in some cases but it certainly does not happen with my clients. Unless of course that is your requirement!!!
At the end of the day, it actually comes down to what you want out of the training, what your goals are and where you would like to see yourself.

Personal Training

Personal Training will help you to achieve these as I design individual programmes which are specific to your needs. Not only that but I carefully make sure you understand the importance of correct techniques when performing any exercise, why you are doing it and what is it doing for you. It may be slow at the start, but then it always is when you learn anything new. It is so important to do any exercise correctly because if you don’t, you will find you may get injured or you are not achieving the results you were hoping for.

Please don’t think that Personal Training is just for “ Fit and Slim“ people. If you think that then you are very wrong as I cater for all levels. Training is for young people as well as more mature individuals, as well as those wanting too loose weight or in fact, put it on. Or maybe you have had an illness and wanted to start training again. This is why I have consultations before-hand so I can establish all this information.

• Government guidelines state that to reduce the risks of mortality, you should have at least 30 minutes of activity 5-7 times per week.

• It is hard to believe that some people especially novice exercisers that one of the main reasons for participation in sport and exercise programmes is enjoyment. Exercising a previously sedentary body may be hard at first but as you notice that the improvements start to happen, believe it or not the enjoyment will start to creep in.

• People are becoming much more aware of the benefits of health - related exercises as a means of protecting themselves against illness e.g. heart disease, hypertension and stress-related diseases.

• It will help you to feel good about yourself, therefore making you more confident as your appearance will be enhanced.

• It will improve your general well-being so that when you wake up in the morning you will feel good about yourself.

How does it work ?

I start by arranging a consultation with you. This lasts up to half an hour. I would have emailed you or sent you some forms that I need completing which you then send back to me before we meet so I can assess them and then talk to you about the information you have supplied to me.

In the consultation, I will need to take your blood pressure for medical reasons, weight and body fat (only if mutually agreeable and you think necessary).

We will then arrange subsequent personal training sessions.

All of my Personal Training is located in Surrey. Areas include:-
Guildford, Dorking, Surrey Hills, Weybridge, Horsham & surrounding areas. (A small fee may be charged to incur extra travelling costs should they be outside my area)
